Main Street Corinth Director

Main Street is seeking a full time employee to fill the role of Corinth Main Street Director. The qualified candidate will work with the Main Street board of directors, The Alliance staff and numerous volunteers in carrying out a diverse program of work. He or she will be responsible for the downtown revitalization program, the operation of the Main Street program, special events, festivals, fund raisers, committees, matters of public and private funding, physical improvements, enhancements to the downtown businesses and the historic district. The director will coordinate marketing and community development programs, and be responsible for all administrative aspects of operating a project managers office. Chief Executive Officer - ALLIANCE FOR DOWNTOWN MERIDIAN, INC. - Meridian, Mississippi

The newly formed non-profit Alliance for Downtown Meridian seeks a Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization that will be the focal point for public and private efforts to revitalize Meridian’s downtown core. The Alliance will work closely with local government and other civic organizations in developing and carrying out programs and plans leading to that goal. The Alliance is also responsible for carrying out programs of the Mississippi Main Street Association.

The CEO will be responsible to the board of directors for carrying out the Alliance’s mission: to design, implement, and oversee a coordinated plan for improvement and growth in the downtown that will attract and support desirable businesses, and establish it as a regional center for the arts and education. The Alliance’s plans, programs, and projects will foster downtown living; help develop progressive services that attract and sustain investment and, encourage tourism in the downtown.

Main Street Executive Director

Laurel Express, Inc., a Mississippi Main Street project, is a non-profit organization promoting downtown development. We are seeking our first Executive Director to develop, conduct, execute and document a Main Street Program for Laurel, Miss. The director is responsible for day-to-day coordination of all aspects of the program and reports to the Executive Board of Laurel Express.

Qualifications:
Applicant must be a motivated, self-starter, possess excellent communication skills, have experience in managing boards and working with volunteers, and have the ability to work independently. Bachelor's degree or in-depth experience with a Main Street Program is desired. Strong computer skills are required with experience in Microsoft Office (Access, Publisher, Word, Excel and Outlook). Knowledge of QuickBooks is desirable. Some weekend and night work required. Finalists must agree to background check.

Annual salary:
$24K-30K depending on experience.
