Nov. 11: Hometown Hero Military Banner Recognition in Poplarville
Community Event
Veterans Day Ceremony – Honoring Our Hometown Heroes
Each year, family and friends gather at the Town Green in Poplarville to recognize the men and women of our military whose service has protected the freedoms we enjoy today.
This free community ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 11 (Veterans Day) and conclude at 5:00 PM.
The program will include:
Presentation of the Colors by the local JR ROTC
Performance of our National Anthem
A military prayer in honor of our veterans
During the ceremony, the name, rank, and branch of service of each hometown hero will be read aloud in a moving and respectful tribute.
All attendees are encouraged to walk the Town Green and visit the 60 newly displayed Hometown Hero banners honoring those who have served.
Please join us as our community pauses to honor, remember, and thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice.
