Project Impact

Take a look at the grants awarded through the Mississippi Main Street Association over the last five years and the impact on our member communities. Each of these projects was made possible through grant funding from our partners and demonstrates how targeted support can lead to meaningful, lasting outcomes. 

ARPA grants - (available to all Designated Communities) – provided total value of $8 million by the Mississippi Legislature. Round I valued at $100,000 per community and Round II valued at $64,500 per community

USDA Placemaking Project (9 Communities) – total value of $250,000

USDA Connectivity Project (5 Communities) – total value of $250,000

Workplan Workshops (all Designated Communities) funded by Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area (MHNHA) and W.K. Kellogg Foundation – valued at $3,000 per community

Branding Refreshes (all Designated Communities) funded by MMSA and MHNHA – valued at $3800 per community

Community Marketing Videos (all Designated Communities) funded by MMSA and MHNHA – valued at $2600 per community

Economic Impact Pieces (all Designated Communities) funded by MMSA and MHNHA—valued at $750 per community

Real Estate Redevelopment Game Plan (27 Communities) funded by USDA and MHNHA – valued at $4,000 per community

Downtown Roadmaps in Indianola and Biloxi funded by W.K. Kellogg Foundation – valued at $60,000 each

Downtown Roadmap Refresh in Leake County funded by the Community Foundation of Mississippi – valued at $35,000

40th Anniversary video for Mississippi Main Street Association funded by the Mississippi Humanities Council and MHNHA – valued at $17,000
