Micro Retail Development, Ripley, ARPA
Project completed on October 2025
The Cut-Off project transformed a vacant and underutilized downtown property into a vibrant community hub that now serves as a retail and food incubator, event space, and gathering place in Ripley. The renovation included significant building improvements, interior and exterior upgrades, and the installation of public art and landscaping to create an attractive and welcoming environment.
The space now houses rotating small businesses such as boutiques, makers, and food vendors, providing an affordable entry point for local entrepreneurs to test and grow their operations. It also features an outdoor courtyard with seating, games, and murals, designed to encourage community interaction and attract both residents and visitors to the downtown district.
The project has already demonstrated strong community impact. The Cut-Off hosts frequent pop-up events, live music, art activities, and seasonal markets that bring new foot traffic downtown and support surrounding businesses. It has created new business opportunities for local vendors, enhanced tourism appeal through its unique design and public art, and provided a family-friendly space that is accessible to all.
By repurposing an unused building and turning it into a multi-purpose community space, The Cut-Off has directly advanced ARPA’s objectives of supporting small business recovery, strengthening local economies, and improving quality of life.
