Crosswalk Art, Greenwood, Placemaking USDA Rural Development

Main Street Greenwood, with the help of the Small Town Center, implemented musical-themed crosswalk art. The idea was to highlight Greenwood's rich musical history. Along the crosswalk are music notes and instruments.  A delta artist, Leslie Turner, assisted in the implementation of this project by helping develop the design and creating and cutting the stencils. Matthew Moore, a native of Greenwood and owner of ThirdBird films, shot all of our before and after footage. This project could not have been completed without our loyal and dedicated volunteers.
