Landscaping, Hernando, Placemaking USDA Rural Development

Project completed on April 2024

Before
After

We chose landscaping around our Hernando Courthouse Square. We were tasked with creating a more desirable aesthetic look for our Square due to our Square being our focal point for our City. We replaced undesirable (sections of shrubs were dead, no mulch in areas, dead flowering plants, empty sections with no plants or shrubs) shrubs and plants with azalea bushes, boxwood shrubs, yaupon holly bushes, and variegated liriope grass. Then accented it with a brown-colored mulch. The new plants and shrubbery have brought new life to an otherwise lifeless section of our Hernando Courthouse Square.
