Facade Improvement, Amory, ARPA

Project completed on January 2026

After

Under the ARPA 1 allocation, Amory Main Street implemented a Downtown Façade Improvement Program designed to enhance the appearance, preservation, and economic vitality of the Main Street district. Through this program, local property and business owners were able to receive funding assistance for fresh exterior paint and new awning/canopy installations.

In total, 16 façade improvements were completed — including 16 new awnings/canopies and 8 exterior paint projects. (Some properties received both improvements.) These upgrades provided consistent visual appeal throughout the downtown corridor, increased property longevity, and improved overall pedestrian experience.

The Façade Grant Program achieved its objectives by:

Encouraging private investment in downtown revitalization,

Supporting local contractors and suppliers, and

Contributing to a more vibrant, cohesive Main Street environment that attracts residents, visitors, and new businesses.

This project marked a major step toward achieving Amory Main Street’s long-term recovery and beautification goals following recent natural disasters and economic challenges.
