Guerilla Wayfinding Signage, Senatobia, Placemaking USDA Rural Development

Senatobia Main Street is proud to receive a Place Making Grant through Mississippi Main Street to fund the installation of signature signage throughout the downtown area. These playful and engaging signs will not only serve a practical purpose by directing visitors to local businesses and attractions but will also add a unique and whimsical touch to the streetscape. The project aims to enhance the overall experience for residents and tourists alike, making Senatobia a more vibrant and inviting destination. Through this grant, Senatobia Main Street hopes to foster a sense of community pride and drive economic development in the downtown area. The signature signage takes boring wayfinding signs to a new level and has sparked social media chatter and interest in the project. We installed the signs the week before our largest event of the year, and they were a nice addition to the pedestrians visiting our downtown. We can't wait to see the results during regular day-to-day business. Our printer ordered extra blank signs in the same shape to be able to add more as additional businesses open in our downtown.
