Murals can be a powerful form of public art, transforming the walls of buildings into vibrant, colorful canvases that tell stories and capture the spirit of a place. When murals are incorporated into outdoor spaces, they help to create a sense of community and cultural identity and can inspire curiosity and imagination in those who see them. They also create opportunities for people to share their experiences and connect with others who appreciate public art and the history that is told through the art. New Albany completed five murals that each tell our shared stories.

This project was made possible by ARPA funds provided by the Mississippi Main Street Association through the Mississippi Legislature.
