GREENWOOD’S FIRST ANNUAL HISTORIC RHYTHM & HERITAGE STROLL

Join us in Historic Greenwood, Ms as businesses and homeowners will open their historic establishments for tours Saturday, October 10th, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Live music will continue on Historic Ramcat Alley until 10:p.m.

You’ll get first hand tours of homes and churches where history was made with architecture dating back to the late 1800’s to properties used as set location in the movie The Help which made Greenwood famous! This is a first ever tour of The Help properties! Each property will have it’s own knowledgeable tour guide so the historic presentations will be abundant!

Enjoy live music throughout the day and evening at Historic Ramcat Alley. Restaurants and food trucks will be available.

1). First United Methodist Church - 310 West Washington - Tour Guide on Site

2). First Presbyterian Church - 300 Main Street - Tour Guide on Site

3). Ayhavath Rayim Synagogue - 210 East Market Street - Tour Guide on Site

4). Church of the Nativity - 400 Howard Street - Tour Guide on Site

5). Wesley United Methodist Church - 800 Howard Street - Tour Guide on Site

6). Staplcotn - 214 West Market - Tour Guide on Site

7). Old City Hall - 103 East Market - Tour Guide on Site

8). Historic Elks Lodge-The Carl Center (The Help Tour) -Tour Guide on Site - 102 West Washington

9). W. M. Whittington Home (The Help Tour & historic Architecture) - Exterior Only - 401 East Market

10). Greenwood Leflore’s Grandaughter’s Home & Interior of Skeeter’s Home in The Help - Tour Guide on Site - River Road

11). Hilly’s House (The Help Tour) - Tour Guide on site - 413 Grand Boulevard

12). Little Zion M. B. Church (The Help Tour & Robert Johnson’s Gravesite) - Tour Guide on Site - Money Road

13). Whittington Farms - Exterior and Grounds of Skeeter’s Home in The Help (The Help Tour)

14). Historic Walking Tours - 401 Main Street next to the old Greyhound Station- every two hours

15). 222 Howard Street - Formerly WGRM Radio

Drive to the tour of choice or park and catch the shuttle bus provided for convenience which will stop at each tour location.

Live music will begin at Historic Ramcat Alley at 6:00 p.m. with Ra’Shad The Blues Kid and headliner to be announced. Entry for Ramcat music only will is $20.00 and will be collected at Ramcat. Tour ticketholders get in free

The Mississippi Plein Air Group will be hosting a three day plein air art event. Details to follow

Tickets are $60.00 per person which allows entrance to each tour and the evening band at Ramcat Alley. They can be purchased through the link below or at Details 219 Howard Street or Sprout 309 Howard Street (The bookstore in the movie The Help). You MUST present your ticket at each tour location you choose to enter
