Sept. 9-11: Destination Downtown in Louisiana: Destination Downtown is the South’s premier downtown revitalization conference and is presented by Louisiana Main Street, Main Street Arkansas, Main Street Alabama, and the Mississippi Main Street Association. This year, the conference is being held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The city was founded in 1699 by French explorers and was named "The Red Stick" due to a cypress pole that separated the land's hunting areas. Baton Rouge joined the colonies in 1810 and was officially established in 1817.
Join us in Baton Rouge, from September 9-11, and connect and learn from experts in the field of downtown revitalization. The conference attracts Main Street directors, board members, city officials, property owners, and historic preservationists, all gathering to share ideas and build sustainable downtown communities. It’s a great way to learn how to start to positively impact your own downtown. Hope to see you there soon!
