Supporting the revitalization of Downtown McComb, Mississippi & Growth of McComb/Pike County!
About McComb
McComb originated as a Railroad town and thrived as such with the RR Maintenance Shops and engineers in McComb. The traffic flow centered around the downtown area with the Railroad on the eastern side of downtown. When the Railroad left McComb in the 70’s, several shopping centers were built to the south, north and west of the historic commercial district, Interstate 55 was built as well as a large indoor Mall located in the northwestern city limits. Delaware Avenue was expanded to I-55 and the medical complex was built near the interstate. The growth and expansion proved positive for the City of McComb overall, but it devastated the Downtown Main Street (Historical Commercial) area. McComb Main Street Association is working to promote, market and grow McComb’s Historic Business District.
